Crypto Space Tries to Reinvent Finance, Still Lags Far Behind

Celo has released Celopedia Skills for Developers, which is designed to help developers learn about and build on the Celo platform. The release of this resource is part of a larger trend in the crypto space.

According to Matt Hougan, excluding Bitcoin and stablecoins leaves the segment of crypto attempting to reinvent finance at roughly $300 billion in market cap. This figure remains modest against the enormous total addressable market.

The Ethereum (ETH) accounts for about $200 billion of this total, after which valuations drop sharply. As a result, the entire DeFi ecosystem has a market capitalization comparable to half of Micron Technology's.
