Aave Launches on OKX's X Layer

Aave, one of the leading decentralized lending protocols, has officially launched on X Layer, OKX's Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network. This integration marks a significant milestone for both parties, as it enables users to access Aave's services directly from their OKX Wallet without the need for complex asset bridging processes.

According to Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave Labs, this expansion will allow Aave to connect its liquidity with a growing ecosystem of users and applications, making it easier to earn, borrow, and build applications on the network. The deployment is powered by Aave v3.6, which offers improved capital efficiency.

The integration brings several benefits to OKX users, including direct access to Aave's services without the need for manual withdrawal or bridging assets. Users can also trade tokenized supply positions, known as aTokens, directly on OKX's decentralized exchange. Additionally, the deployment includes six dedicated efficiency modes, allowing loan-to-value ratios of up to 88% for liquid staking pairs.

This move is part of OKX's broader strategy to embed DeFi features into its core wallet product. The integration is expected to accelerate liquidity and adoption on X Layer, positioning it as a more competitive venue for DeFi lending and yield strategies.
