Arbitrum's Jimbos Protocol Hacked for $7.5 Million in Latest DeFi Security Breach

A decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol called Jimbos Protocol has been hacked, resulting in a loss of $7.5 million worth of Ether on the Arbitrum network.

The attack exploited the absence of slippage control on liquidity conversions, allowing the attacker to manipulate swap orders in their favor. This vulnerability was particularly concerning given that Jimbos Protocol had launched just under 20 days ago with the aim of addressing liquidity and volatile token prices.

Unfortunately, it seems that the protocol lacked robust security mechanisms to prevent such an attack. As a result, the price of the underlying token, Jimbo (JIMBO), experienced a significant 40% drop in value following the hack.
