Trump Hosts Meme Coin Conference Amid Growing Scrutiny

US President Donald Trump recently attended a conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort, where he spoke to top holders of his meme coin. The event was held as part of an ongoing effort by the Trump administration to promote its cryptocurrency ventures.

The conference was invitation-only and attended by around 300 people, mostly foreign guests who had purchased large amounts of the TRUMP token. Despite concerns about the token's value, which has plummeted over 96% since its launch in January 2025, attendees were pleased with the event and praised the opportunity to visit Mar-a-Lago.

The president spoke briefly with his top meme coin holders before delivering off-the-cuff remarks for nearly 45 minutes. He discussed various topics including the ongoing war with Iran, crypto regulation, and former President Joe Biden. Trump also announced plans to launch a 'Trump Club' for top token holders, offering luxury suites at major sporting events and other exclusive experiences.
