Erik Voorhees Continues Ethereum Buying Spree with $49M Investment

Erik Voorhees, the founder of ShapeShift and a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency space, has continued his Ethereum (ETH) buying streak after restarting purchases following a year-long break.

According to on-chain data provided by Lookonchain, Voorhees spent approximately $49 million acquiring 23,393 ETH at an average price of $2,098. This significant purchase marks the latest in his ongoing buying spree.

The transaction occurred over the weekend, coinciding with a period of market recovery. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization rose by around 3% to $2.5 trillion, while Ethereum's price surpassed $2,200, representing a 7% increase in the last 24 hours.
