ProCap Financial Expands Crypto Holdings and Repurchases Shares
ProCap Financial, an agentic finance firm listed on the Nasdaq, has made two key moves in recent days. The company announced that it has acquired 450 units of Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 5,457 units and reducing its average cost basis per unit.
In addition to this significant purchase of cryptocurrency, ProCap Financial has been actively repurchasing shares of its common stock. Over the last 10 days, the company has bought back a total of 782,408 shares of its own stock at a significant discount to its net asset value (NAV). This move is in line with the company's stated goal of reducing the NAV discount and increasing shareholder value.
ProCap Financial's Chairman and CEO, Anthony Pompliano, commented on the company's approach: 'We are doing two things at the same time: buying Bitcoin to average down our total cost basis and buying back our own stock when the market misprices it.'
