Farage Gift Triggers SAR as Bankers Question Tether Investor's Funds

Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, received a £5 million ($6.7 million) gift from British crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in April 2024.

Bankers filed a suspicious activity report (SAR) with the UK's National Crime Agency on May 16, 2024, as they couldn't trace the ultimate origin of the funds.

Hurborne is a significant investor in Tether and has donated millions to Reform UK. The gift was made after Farage announced he would not stand in that year's general election but before he reversed course to run in Clacton.
