Ethereum Unveils Streamlined Roadmap with Scalability and Security Upgrades

Vitalik Buterin has announced that Ethereum researchers have finalized a streamlined roadmap for the network over the next five years. The changes aim to improve scalability, security, and user experience.

The new roadmap includes switching to recursive STARKs for validation, introducing 1-2 rounds of finality, multidimensional Gas pricing, and quantum-resistant cryptography.

The state model will expand from its current 2TB dynamic state to 100TB, reducing transaction fees by over ten times. Privacy will be upgraded as a primary design objective, with all new components supporting quantum resistance and peer-to-peer privacy transactions.
