Qubic Expands Interoperability with Non-Custodial Cross-Chain Bridge
Qubic has made a significant stride in its expansion plans with the launch of QBridge, a non-custodial cross-chain bridge connecting the Qubic network to Ethereum. This innovative solution enables seamless transfer of tokens between the two networks, facilitating interaction with Ethereum's extensive DeFi infrastructure.
The QBridge bridge operates on a 2-of-3 multisig governance model, ensuring that no single party holds the keys or has control over critical administrative actions. The bridge charges a flat 1% total fee per order, split evenly between the operator and the network as dividends to shareholders.
Qubic's unique architecture, built on C++ smart contracts executing directly on bare metal, has been a recurring friction point for partnerships and exchange integrations due to EVM incompatibility. The QBridge bridge addresses this issue by making QUBIC accessible to every Ethereum wallet, DEX aggregator, lending protocol, and portfolio tracker that supports the ERC-20 standard.
