EigenCloud Pitches Autonomous AI Companies with Blockchain Infrastructure

EigenCloud has introduced a novel concept in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency - 'agentic companies' where AI agents own assets, raise capital through tokens, and operate autonomously on blockchain infrastructure.

The idea is based on a solution to the problem of legal infrastructure for AI agents, which currently cannot open bank accounts or bear liability. This limitation makes it difficult for AI agents to participate in the global economy as independent entities.

EigenCloud proposes the creation of an 'Agent Identity Layer' that would provide verified credentials for each AI agent, connecting them to digital property such as accounts, compute resources, and data access. This layer would enable AI agents to become investable entities, similar to human-owned businesses.

The concept is compared to the impact of YouTube on media, where individual content creators were able to build multi-billion dollar economies without traditional corporate structures.
