<b>Cyber-Enabled Crimes Cost Americans Nearly $21 Billion</b>
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released its 2025 Internet Crime Report, which shows a significant increase in cyber-enabled crimes committed against Americans. According to the report, nearly $21 billion was lost to these types of crimes, with cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence-related scams being among the costliest.
The report also highlights an alarming trend: individuals over 60 are reporting significant losses, totaling approximately $7.7 billion. This is a 37% increase from 2024, making this demographic particularly vulnerable to online scams.
