The attack, detailed by on-chain security firm Blockaid, utilized a transaction approval trap mechanism targeting a vulnerability in the bot's router contract.

Jaredfromsubway.eth is a well-known and highly active arbitrage bot operating on the Ethereum network, known for its high gas intensity. The attacker leveraged custom smart contracts to manipulate the bot into executing unprofitable sandwich transactions, ultimately draining the bot's contract balance.
