Zcash Price Dives 15% Amid Orchard Flaw Fallout
Zcash's price has taken a hit due to concerns over a critical vulnerability in its Orchard shielded pool. The flaw, which could have allowed undetectable supply inflation, led to an emergency patch but uncertainty about potential exploitation has dampened investor confidence.
As a result, Zcash has dropped around 15% from its mid-June highs and is struggling to maintain gains above $430 resistance. Technical indicators and liquidation data suggest growing downside risk, with the crucial $400 support level now at risk of being broken.
This development comes as broader crypto sentiment weakens amid Bitcoin declines and shifting capital toward safer or yield-generating assets.
