Crypto-AI Funding Surges to $600 Million Amid Selective Market Response
Crypto-AI funding has seen a massive surge in recent times, reaching $600 million in just one year. According to data from CryptoRank, this represents a tenfold increase from the same period last year. In Q2 2026 alone, AI-related crypto projects have raised around $60 million.
This influx of funding is driven by investors who see long-term potential in the space, despite some cautionary voices warning that the sector may be running ahead of its real-world utility. Researchers have pointed out that meaningful integration between AI and crypto is still in its early stages.
The market's response to this surge in funding has been selective, with a few tokens standing out from the rest. Siren (SIREN) has seen a 28% gain over the past week, while Allora (ALLO) surged by over 130%. Unibase (UB) also gained around 25%, but larger names like Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET) and Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) were down in the same timeframe.
