Nunchuk Introduces Secure Tools for AI Agents to Interact with Bitcoin Wallets
Nunchuk, a developer of open-source mobile Bitcoin wallets, has introduced new software designed to facilitate interaction between artificial intelligence (AI) agents and users' cryptocurrency holdings. The tools are part of the company's efforts to promote automated financial tasks while ensuring human oversight.
The system relies on shared wallets and approval policies to prevent AI agents from exceeding defined spending limits. This approach is in contrast to current methods, which either grant agents full authority over a standalone wallet or delegate signing duties to the user.
According to Nunchuk's founder and CEO, Hugo Nguyen, the new tools address a significant design problem: separating funding decisions from authorization of AI agents. The company's software release is published under an MIT open-source license and includes two repositories: Nunchuk CLI and Agent Skills for Nunchuk CLI.
