Aave Crypto Unveils V4 on Ethereum with Enhanced Security Features

Aave Crypto has entered a new phase with the launch of its V4 version on the Ethereum mainnet. This development marks the culmination of over two years of work by the Aave team to create a more advanced and secure protocol.

The new system, dubbed the hub-and-spoke architecture, separates liquidity management from borrowing environments. In this structure, central hubs hold shared liquidity, while spokes define independent borrowing markets.

Aave V4 introduces three hubs with different risk levels: Prime, Core, and Edge. Each spoke is attached to a chosen hub and performs within established parameters, which define the amount of liquidity that a market can obtain at a given time. This approach prevents losses from spreading across the entire system but instead bears them by individual parts.
