Bitcoin Price Plummets by 15% Amid Market Volatility
Bitcoin's value has declined significantly in recent days, with a 15% loss recorded over the past week.
This marks its worst performance since November 2022, when the cryptocurrency market was rocked by the collapse of FTX. The current drop is attributed to several factors, including the sale of Bitcoin by Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), one of the largest corporate holders of the coin.
Michael Saylor, the CEO of Strategy, has been a long-time advocate for Bitcoin and had accumulated a significant portion of the company's assets in the cryptocurrency. However, his decision to sell some of these holdings has sparked concerns among investors and contributed to the decline in price.
