Bybit CEO Highlights Crypto Industry Growth and Regulatory Progress

The cryptocurrency market experienced significant growth in 2025, with increased adoption rates and improved regulatory frameworks worldwide.

According to data presented by Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit, the number of crypto owners grew by 16% throughout the year, bringing the global crypto ownership rate to 8.7%.

This trend was also visible in traditional finance (TradFi), with the number of TradFi firms onboarding crypto doubling in 2025.

Stablecoins saw heavy use for payments and settled double the volume of major traditional payment networks over 12 months.
