Coinbase Unveils Ambitious Plan to Modernize Global Financial System

Coinbase, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global finance. In an effort to transform itself from a simple crypto exchange into a universal platform for trading various assets, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has presented an eight-point strategic plan.

The plan, which reflects Coinbase's goal of evolving into a comprehensive financial ecosystem, prioritizes real-world asset tokenization, 24/7 trading, stablecoin payments, and AI-based oversight systems. To achieve this vision, the company is actively working on various fronts, including the launch of perpetual futures contracts for prominent stocks like Apple and NVIDIA.

These contracts enable traders outside the U.S. to engage in 24/7 trading, unlike traditional stock markets. Moreover, Coinbase is expanding its use of the USDC stablecoin in partnership with major companies like Shopify and Stripe. The company aims to facilitate seamless transactions for millions of merchants across 34 countries.
