Spacecoin Aims to Revolutionize Global Telecommunications with Decentralized Satellite Network

Spacecoin is a decentralized internet network that aims to bridge the digital divide between space-based data centers and underconnected terrestrial regions. The project's innovative approach involves launching a constellation of blockchain-enabled small satellites in low-Earth orbit, which will enable direct communication between satellites without relying on terrestrial infrastructure.

The Spacecoin network has already made significant progress in its development, with the launch of its first satellite, CTC-0, in December 2024. This was followed by the deployment of three additional CTC-1 satellites in November 2025, which enabled testing of intersatellite links and direct satellite-to-satellite communication.

One of the key features of Spacecoin is its tokenized economy, which allows satellite operators to monetize unused capacity and participate in the network. The project's digital currency, SPACE, enables users to acquire bandwidth and engage with the network, while also granting voting power to holders in protocol-related decisions.
