Haddonfield Residents Targeted by Scammers, Shoplifter

The Haddonfield Police Department has been active in addressing various incidents within the community. One notable case involved a $21,000 phishing scam where an elderly resident fell victim to a fraudulent warning on their computer. The individual complied with the scammers' instructions and withdrew $21,000 from their bank account, depositing it into a bitcoin account.

A second incident occurred at CVS when police were dispatched to report a shoplifting in progress. A woman was seen entering the store and taking body wash before leaving on foot towards PATCO. Police located her at PATCO and confirmed she was the same individual reported at CVS, resulting in her arrest.
