Camp Network's Blockchain Aims to Resolve AI-Era Copyright Disputes
Nirav Murthy is the co-founder and co-CEO of Camp Network, a blockchain project that aims to resolve disputes between AI companies and content creators. Before joining Camp Network, Murthy worked for four years at The Raine Group, where he handled deals in consumer brands, media, sports, gaming, and content creation.
Murthy's background in traditional media deal-making has shaped Camp Network's focus on creator rights rather than pure blockchain throughput. The project uses a Proof of Provenance protocol to register IP on-chain with a traceable origin, usage rights, and attribution, allowing for automatic tracking of licensing and monetization.
Camp Network launched its mainnet and native CAMP token in August 2025, following a $25 million Series A funding round led by 1kx and Blockchain Capital. In various interviews, Murthy has emphasized the importance of blockchain in resolving AI-era copyright disputes, arguing that it can serve as a royalty rail and proof of ownership for creators.
