LayerZero, Canton Network, and Zero Blockchain Forge Interoperability Stack
LayerZero, Canton Network, and Zero Blockchain are working together to build an interoperability stack that enables seamless communication between different blockchain networks. This stack combines crypto-native messaging, institutional liquidity, and execution infrastructure, making it a powerful tool for facilitating cross-chain transactions.
The integration of these protocols has already created significant network effects. LayerZero, for instance, has integrated over 165 chains and processed more than $200 billion in cross-chain volume, creating what researchers describe as 'infra gravity.' This means that once an application builds on a messaging layer, migration becomes operationally expensive.
Canton Network adds another dimension to this stack by connecting over 800 institutional firms, including Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan. The network processes around $8 trillion in real-world assets monthly and around $350 billion in U.S. Treasury repo volume daily, with LayerZero as its only interoperability rail.
The combination of these protocols positions ZRO as a central asset across gas, staking, and value capture functions. Early accumulation patterns and institutional backing are adding weight to the narrative, suggesting that this stack may be more than just a theoretical concept.
