Cashcat's Robinhood Chain Account Suspected of Being Hacked Amid Price Surge
Cashcat's X account on Robinhood Chain has been suspected of being hacked. The token experienced a price surge from $0.014 to around $0.13 between July 8 and now. A pinned link on the official X account, @cashcat_token, directs users to an external page that prompts visitors to connect their cryptocurrency wallets under the pretense of claiming exclusive holder rewards.
This tactic is commonly associated with phishing scams in the crypto space. The incident raises concerns among investors about the security of the project's communication channels and introduces a layer of risk for holders and potential buyers of CASHCAT.
Security experts recommend revoking any token approvals granted to unknown smart contracts as a precautionary measure. Until the project team issues a clear statement through a secondary, verified channel, users should avoid interacting with any links or instructions from the @cashcat_token account.
