Bitzero Poised to Dominate the Energy Trade for AI
Kevin O'Leary, also known as 'Mr. Wonderful,' is placing his bets on the $5+ trillion infrastructure required to run artificial intelligence (AI), rather than AI itself. He believes that companies like Bitzero (NASDAQ: AIBZ) will be key players in breaking through one of AI's biggest chokepoints: power.
The demand for cheap electricity in the data center industry is skyrocketing, with Amazon projecting $200 billion in capital spending by 2026, Microsoft expecting around $190 billion, Alphabet projected near $190 billion, and Meta laying out a $600 billion U.S. infrastructure plan through 2028. Combined, these companies are expected to spend as much as $725 billion on AI data centers, chips, power, and long-lived infrastructure this year.
Megawatts will be the deciding factor for which companies can build their AI data centers and which cannot. Bitzero's control of gigawatt-scale electricity puts them at an advantage in securing contracts with major players in the industry.
