The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has brought an end to its long-running investigation into the Zcash Foundation, clearing the way for the cryptocurrency sector to enter a new era of regulatory clarity.
After a three-year probe, which began in August 2023, the SEC found no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the Zcash Foundation. The investigation had been centered around concerns over the company's data protection and compliance with securities laws.
