StakeDAO Breach Highlights Importance of Secure Key Management

A recent security breach on StakeDAO's Arbitrum platform has highlighted the importance of secure key management in decentralized finance (DeFi). The attacker exploited a compromised deployer key, which allowed them to mint over 5.4 trillion vsdCRV tokens.

The nominal value of these tokens is estimated to be around $763 billion, but the attacker was only able to convert about $91,000 worth into Ethereum due to thin liquidity in the market. This incident demonstrates the difference between token values and extractable value in DeFi exploits.
