Zerion has announced that it will be shutting down its blockchain, ZERϴ Network, and redirecting resources to its API and wallet.
The decision was made after the company realized that maintaining a standalone chain is not necessary to achieve the goal of simplifying on-chain user experience. In fact, the company believes that the best way to deliver this vision is through its API.
Zerion's CEO, Evgeny Yurtaev, stated that 'the world didn't need more blockchains. It needs a better way to access them.' This shift in strategy reflects the broader evolution of Ethereum Layer 2s away from pure scaling and toward more targeted use cases.
