Local Textile Trader Loses Rs 54 Lakh in Cryptocurrency Scam

A local textile trader has been duped of Rs 54.80 lakh by cyber fraudsters who promised him high returns through cryptocurrency investments.

The complainant, Naresh Sundardas Jethani, owns a textile shop named Amrut Collection in Gandhibagh and allegedly came into contact with the accused Amyra Khandelwal from Telangana via WhatsApp in July 2025.

Jethani was convinced to invest in cryptocurrency by Amyra, who promised him high profits within a short period. He transferred a total of Rs 54.80 lakh to bank accounts provided by the accused over several months, but despite repeated assurances, he neither received the promised returns nor got his investment back.
