Bitcoin's market behavior has been characterized by unusually quiet conditions, with realized volatility plummeting by more than 56% since early March, according to on-chain analysis provided by Axel Adler Jr. This sharp decline in price fluctuation is being interpreted as a sign that the leading cryptocurrency may be entering an accumulation phase.
Adler's report indicates that Bitcoin's 30-day moving average of realized volatility has fallen from approximately 39 in early March to a current level of 17, representing a 56.4% reduction over the quarter. This compression of volatility is often seen as a precursor to significant price movements, although the direction and timing remain unclear.
