Binance Founder CZ Publishes Autobiography Detailing Rise and Fall
Binance founder Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao has published a memoir titled Freedom of Money, which recounts his journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most recognizable figures in the cryptocurrency industry.
The book, covering 364 pages, offers a first-hand account of Zhao's life and career. It delves into his early days in finance and technology, as well as the founding of Binance in 2017. The memoir details the rapid growth of the company into one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges.
One of the central themes in Freedom of Money is Zhao's concept of 'freedom of money', which he believes can address barriers to financial access, especially in countries with limited banking infrastructure or strict capital controls. He acknowledges that Binance's rapid growth introduced challenges, including compliance and oversight gaps that drew scrutiny from authorities.
