Ethereum Co-Founder Defends Network's Principles Amid Criticism
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has reaffirmed the network's commitment to its core principles of decentralization, privacy, and censorship resistance in the face of growing criticism over its recent market performance. In a lengthy post on X, Buterin emphasized the importance of maintaining these ideals even if they appear less commercially attractive than rival blockchains.
Buterin argued that competing solely on transaction speed would ultimately lead to mediocrity, as Ethereum would struggle to differentiate itself from other networks in terms of decentralization and privacy. He warned that prioritizing speed above all else could compromise the network's long-term value proposition.
