Robinhood is introducing AI agent technology to assist crypto traders in making trades on their behalf. The feature will be available to eligible US-based customers, allowing them to work with an agent to create a strategy and set guardrails for trading.
The company's senior vice president and general manager of crypto, Johann Kerbrat, said the new blockchain processed 17 million transactions from nearly 350,000 wallet addresses in its first week.
AI agents will enable retail users to base trades on data that they would have otherwise missed, putting them on a more equal playing field with institutions. This is according to a Robinhood executive, who stated that the technology will 'even the playing field' for retail investors.
