BlackRock Downplays Crypto Tokens in Favor of AI-Powered Bitcoin

BlackRock's digital assets head Robbie Mitchnick has sparked debate among cryptocurrency enthusiasts by dismissing most tokens as 'nonsense'. In a recent address at the Digital Asset Summit in New York, he pointed to Bitcoin and Ether as the only consistent performers amidst the thousands of tokens circulating.

Mitchnick argued that AI is the driving force behind crypto's future, describing it as 'computer-native data and intelligence' that naturally complements crypto infrastructure. He noted that institutional investors are narrowing their focus on a select few assets, with Bitcoin and Ether dominating allocations.
