Payward Acquires US Crypto Derivatives Exchange Bitnomial for Up to $550 Million

Bitnomial was founded in 2014 and has acquired a full set of CFTC licenses, including exchange, clearinghouse, and brokerage. This makes it the first crypto company in the US to achieve this milestone.

The acquisition brings together Bitnomial's regulatory infrastructure with Payward's global distribution across various platforms, including Kraken, NinjaTrader, and other projects. The deal is seen as a strategic move by Payward to expand its offerings and increase its market share in the crypto derivatives space.
