Ripple CTO Emeritus Reflects on Past Crypto Holdings
Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz recently revisited his past decision to sell 40,000 ETH tokens in an interview on X. At the time of sale, the price of Ethereum was $1.05 per token. Schwartz claimed that he sold because he believed the token had reached its peak and did not consider buying back in after the price rose.
However, in a recent response to a user who brought up his past sale, Schwartz stated that if he had thought there was even a 1% chance of Ethereum reaching $2,368, he would have held onto his tokens. This statement suggests that Schwartz may have underestimated the potential growth of Ethereum.
Schwarz also shared some information about his current crypto holdings, revealing that he still holds Bitcoin and XRP in smaller quantities than before. His past holdings included 26 million XRP and over 1,000 BTC, but he has significantly reduced these amounts over time.
