The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has added cryptocurrency exchange Bybit and its subsidiary Bybit Fintech Limited to its Investor Alert List on June 17.
MAS did not specify a reason for the listing, but said it is based on information available at the time of publication. The list identifies entities that may have been wrongly perceived as being licensed or regulated by the regulator.
Bybit stated in an X post that it is aware of the listing and is engaging with MAS to understand the basis for its inclusion.
The company emphasized that it does not offer services to users in Singapore, citing restrictions in its terms of service and geo-blocking of Singapore IP addresses. MAS said the list is not exhaustive and may be updated as more information becomes available.
