MoonPay Brings AI Crypto Assistant to Telegram for On-the-Go Traders

MoonPay has expanded its AI crypto assistant to Telegram, allowing users to issue natural-language commands for market analysis, dashboard creation, and transaction preparation from their phones. The integration connects to the existing MoonAgents desktop app through a personal Telegram bot, with all sensitive data and private keys remaining stored locally on the user's computer.

The move follows similar AI-crypto integrations from Gemini, which launched Agentic Trading in April, and Coinbase, which released Coinbase for Agents in June. MoonAgents supports AI models including Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex.

MoonPay's Agents Product Lead Kevin Arifin said Telegram was chosen for its robust bot infrastructure, not just its popularity among crypto users. He noted that services like WhatsApp and iMessage require additional configuration steps before a similar connection can be established.
