Crypto Commentator Ash Crypto Laments 'Wasting' Years on Underperforming Altcoins

Crypto commentator Ash Crypto expressed frustration over the long-term performance of several major altcoins in a recent post on X. He lamented that he 'wasted 8 years of my life' holding onto underperforming assets, including XRP, Cardano, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin.

Ash's video comparison showed how these altcoins declined significantly from their prices in 2018 to their current valuations in 2026. For instance, XRP fell from around $3 to $1.10, while Litecoin dropped from $200 to $43. Cardano plummeted from $1 to $0.17.

The post seemed to challenge the popular buy-and-hold strategy often promoted within the crypto industry. Ash suggested that investors who held altcoins for years without taking profits during bull markets may have missed opportunities to preserve gains.
