War Events Have Little Impact on Bitcoin's Structural Trend

A new analysis has examined the relationship between military conflicts and Bitcoin's market behavior, using data from three major wars to draw conclusions about their impact.

The study found that while war events do cause short-term fluctuations in Bitcoin's price, they do not have a lasting structural effect on its trend. This is because Bitcoin's supply schedule and network function remain unaffected by military conflicts or national fiscal crises.

Exchange Netflow data from CryptoQuant tracked the behavior of traders during these conflict periods, showing that fear-driven inflows appear briefly before normalizing within 90 days. Trade wars and regulatory changes, on the other hand, carry more weight in shaping Bitcoin's medium-term direction.

The growing role of ETFs and institutional participants has also reduced the lasting effect of conflict-driven shocks on Bitcoin's price trajectory. Much of the fear-based pressure now channels through derivatives markets rather than sustained spot selling.
