The Open Network Community Votes to Rename Toncoin to Gram

The Open Network has undergone significant changes in recent times, with Telegram taking a larger operational role in the network. As part of this shift, the community has voted to rename its native token from Toncoin to Gram, with the ticker changing from TON to GRAM on June 15, 2026.

The blockchain itself will remain unchanged, but users can expect changes in labeling and branding across exchanges and wallets. The change will not require any user action, as balances of 10 TON will automatically become 10 GRAM with no redenomination.

Exchanges and wallets have been informed to update the asset name, ticker, logo, trading pairs, user interfaces, deposit labels, withdrawal labels, APIs, and data feeds by June 15. The integration brief also stresses that there is no migration, claim, bridge, or token conversion required, and any website or message asking users to 'claim GRAM' or 'convert TON to GRAM' is fraudulent.
