Trump Reveals $1.2B Crypto Income in 2025 Disclosure
US President Donald Trump has revealed that he earned around US$1.2 billion from his cryptocurrency activities in 2025, according to documents released by the Office of Government Ethics.
The disclosure is based on a 1978 law requiring the President and Vice-President to declare their income and assets.
Trump's income came primarily from his ties to World Liberty Financial, a startup that launched its own cryptocurrency WLFI in September 2024. The initial sale of WLFI brought in US$550 million.
In addition, Trump and his three sons obtained an additional 22.5 billion WLFI through an intermediary company DT Marks Defi, which is currently worth around US$1.3 billion.
Trump also earned US$635 million from royalties related to the $TRUMP cryptocurrency, launched just hours before his inauguration in January 2025.
