US Crypto Companies Secure National Trust Licenses Amid Regulatory Shift
According to recent reports, over a dozen crypto and fintech companies have applied for or been granted national trust bank licenses by the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This includes prominent exchanges and financial institutions like Ripple, Circle, BitGo, Morgan Stanley, and Fidelity Digital Assets.
The OCC's national trust license permits these companies to offer banking services to their customers, including accounts, loans, and other traditional banking products. This development marks a significant step forward in the regulatory environment for digital assets.
