UK Sprinter CJ Ujah Among Ten Charged in Cryptocurrency Fraud Investigation

British sprinter CJ Ujah has been charged alongside nine others in a UK cryptocurrency fraud investigation. The charges come as part of a larger operation targeting individuals who used impersonation scams to trick victims into sharing private wallet recovery details.

The scam, which allegedly involved phone calls from people claiming to be police officers or cryptocurrency companies, resulted in significant financial losses for the victims. According to reports, one victim lost more than £300,000.

Ujah's involvement in the alleged fraud operation has sparked concern within the athletics community. The sprinter rose to prominence after helping Great Britain win gold at the 2017 World Championships and later received a 22-month ban for testing positive for prohibited substances at the Tokyo Olympics.
