The FBI has warned of a scam token on the Tron blockchain that is impersonating the agency.
The token, which displays the FBI's name and seal, sends a message to users stating that their wallet is under investigation and prompts them to complete an anti-money laundering verification online to avoid having their assets frozen.
This tactic is reminiscent of phishing scams in the crypto space, where scammers try to trick victims into providing sensitive information by creating a sense of urgency.
