Ethereum Price Plunges Below Crucial Trendline Support
Ethereum's price has dropped to $1,682 following a nearly 5% intraday decline. The digital asset has broken below a crucial ascending trendline, with its next significant support zone positioned near $1,500.
Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Charts predicts that Ethereum will move towards $1,580, which matches the prevailing bearish technical framework. ETH remains trapped beneath the $1,750 resistance following a temporary rebound from the $1,500 base.
The options market has seen significant contraction, with open interest dropping to $5.5 billion from its earlier peak of $8.5 billion. This indicates diminished leverage throughout the market and may lead to sharp price movements when a catalyst emerges.
