Soluna Takes Full Ownership of Texas Campus Amid Bitcoin Mining Shift

Soluna Holdings has taken another significant step in its efforts to transform a former bitcoin mining complex into an AI and high-performance computing site. The company has acquired full ownership of Project Dorothy 1B, a 25-megawatt facility in Silverton, Texas.

The acquisition was made possible through the purchase of the remaining 49% equity interest from Navitas Global for approximately $8.8 million. This deal marks the latest development in Soluna's broader effort to consolidate its ownership of the Dorothy campus.

With the Briscoe wind farm supplying 150 megawatts of owned renewable power and Soluna now controlling 100% of both Dorothy 1A and 1B, the company has created a fully integrated 'generation-to-compute' ownership chain across the 50-megawatt Dorothy 1 complex. This development is seen as a crucial step in Soluna's roadmap to building Dorothy 3 for AI and high-performance computing workloads.
