DoorDash Integrates Stablecoins into Global Labor Infrastructure

DoorDash, a leading food delivery company, has announced that it is incorporating stablecoins into its global labor infrastructure. This move aims to address the complexities involved in making payouts across more than 40 countries, where local currencies, compliance requirements, banking partners, timing windows, and financial needs of merchants and workers create bottlenecks.

DoorDash is collaborating with Tempo, a payments-focused blockchain developed by Stripe and Paradigm. This partnership seeks to leverage the benefits of stablecoins in reducing delays, lowering costs, expanding reach, and improving predictability in cross-border transfers and treasury movement.
