SEC Nears 'Reg Crypto' Plan to Clarify Fundraising Rules in US
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is making progress on its 'reg crypto' plan, which aims to clarify the rules for raising money in the crypto industry. The proposal has been sent to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs and is expected to be made public soon.
The new rule will include a startup exemption that allows crypto projects to raise funds over four years with simpler rules and required disclosures. This move seeks to balance investor protection with innovation as it builds clearer, structured crypto fundraising rules.
