This significant figure illustrates one of the largest real-world blockchain payment applications in a developing country. The success can be attributed to the Algorand Foundation's partnership with HesabPay, which migrated to the Algorand blockchain in 2022.

The Algorand network was chosen for its affordability, speed, high capacity, and energy efficiency, thanks to its Pure Proof-of-Stake system. This has enabled stablecoin transfers to settle quickly and stay affordable for everyday use.
